NRE mandatory use for public buildings

The new buildings of public institutions, the floor area of which exceeds 1,000 square meters, are obliged by law to use more than 10% of their total expected energy uses to install renewable energy resource systems. Public institutions include state administrative bodies, local autonomous entities, and state-run companies. The following diagram details how the system operates from the planning to the approval stage. Between March 2004 and 2012, public institutions submitted 2,202 installation plans.
